Architecture is career for designers and Math lovers. Best career option for students who have creative mind with intelligence like a science student. If you love geometry and love to create new things with it then Architecture is for you. The population was increasing with a boost before COVID-19 pandemic, as the population was increasing, the requirement of space for their stay is increased and India is a developing country which needs to develop its infrastructure, we need new homes, may be it is re-developed, so the demand of this career was increased but after COVID-19 a new opportunity is there for builders because if population is decreased due COVID-19 then it is sure that it will increase.
What does an Architecture do? For answer, let's study how a building is made. A building is made with the help of a civil engineer, an architecture, a builder and other workers. The builder invests money in project, a civil engineer builds the building with the help of workers and architecture designs the building from outside and each and every room of building and also designs the house by using the space smartly. So the architecture is designer and always designs in the field of real estate.
If you become architecture and get a project, you have to design each and every inch of project, and they pay you for your work. Now let's see what you learn in Architecture, in first year, you have to learn the theory in which you are taught about basic requirements and terminologies of building houses and apartment. Then in rest of the course you are taught 3D modelling in which you learn to make a 3D illustration of your designed project, then you are taught everything practically and that's how you as an architecture work.
The salary of an architect in India starts from 1 to 1.5 lakh per annum to 5 lakh per annum. Basically If you ask for my review, then it is an average profession, this profession uses your creativity and geometry skills and makes you earn only 5 lakh per annum just like a middle class. which is not satisfying, it's like you are designing your house and you are paid in such a way that you need to earn for 25 years to buy your own house, so my suggestion is to choose something else if you are not serious but if you love this work then I can give you an idea. It has high risk but it's very profitable, you have to find a builders for partnership and make them invest, now use their investments and buy a plot keeping all requirements in your mind and hire a civil engineer and workers and design your building yourself because you're an architecture. Now, suppose that building makes you earn 30 crores then you'll get 15 crores just in 2 or 3 years. And then without wasting your money, use it to make your building ( another one ), now you have money and you don't need someone to be your partner but you can if you want until your confidence builds up.
Now compare the job and this business, if you took job then you'll earn 1 lakh in starting and after 5-6 years of constant work you'll reach 5 lakh per annum, but in business you are earning more than 15 crores in two years that means 7.5 crores per annum. If you lend only 1 crore to someone at 12 % of interest then you can earn 1 lakh rupees per month. So India is not bad for architects but good for them who uses it wisely.
